Hinchinbrook residents will have the opportunity to learn more about staying connected during emergencies when the nbn team visits Ingham for this week’s Get Set For the Wet event.
The nbn team will be available to answer questions about emergency connectivity, network resilience and the Fibre to the Premises upgrades being rolled out in Ingham.
Residents can also learn how nbn emergency messaging helps keep communities informed about network impacts during emergency events, providing important information when severe weather and other disruptions affect telecommunications services.
The visit will give locals the chance to discuss connectivity options available for their individual properties and find out whether their address may be eligible for an upgrade.
With the wet season approaching, understanding how to stay informed and connected during an emergency is an important part of household preparedness.
Community members are encouraged to drop by, ask questions and speak directly with the nbn team about their connectivity needs.
