Cardwell Lions Club is continuing its support of local students, recently donating a Front Row Sound System valued at $1,875 to Cardwell State School.
The specialised sound system will assist students with diagnosed hearing impairments, while also supporting teachers and students in general classroom situations by helping ensure instructions and discussions can be heard clearly.
The donation is part of Cardwell Lions Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting the needs and wellbeing of the Cardwell community, particularly its younger residents.
“One very important consideration is support for our young citizens during their important school years,” the organisation said.
Cardwell Lions Club was formed in 1968 and is celebrating 58 years of service to the community this year.
Anyone interested in joining Cardwell Lions can contact Membership Officer Lion Callan Ihle on 0424 079 925.
The club meets on the third Sunday of each month at the Lions Hall from 9.30am.
