They say it takes a village to raise a child, and that is certainly the case for two young students from Tully State High School, who were recently supported by a community group and local business in their fundraising efforts.
While many youngsters would have been enjoying a lazy first Sunday of the school holidays, Jess and Lacey hosted a sausage sizzle, with proceeds going towards their upcoming trip to the National Youth Science Forum in Brisbane in January 2027.
Proudly supported by Tully Rotary, which funded the sausage sizzle, along with a $100 meat tray raffle generously donated by Tully Tender Cuts Butcher, the girls raised an impressive $582.45 on the day.
