From morning teas and trivia to therapy dogs and plenty of laughter, seniors across the Cassowary Coast have been making the most of Queensland Seniors Month this October.
This year's theme, Connect and Celebrate, has been brought to life through a range of activities at libraries across the region, providing opportunities to catch up with old friends, make new ones and enjoy some light-hearted fun.
Celebrations in Cardwell, Mission Beach and Tully have brought plenty of smiles, with participants sharing their appreciation for the chance to get together.
"Lovely morning, everybody enjoyed themselves," was one happy response.
Another participant summed up the occasion: "Was a fun morning. Thank you. We did have lots of fun and laughter. Stan's jokes were a hoot."
And the celebrations aren't over yet!
