Cardwell RSL Sub Branch’s new back up generator is up and running!
The generator was secured through FRRR funding, and will give the sub branch peace of mind and a contingency plan should extreme weather cause any outages come storm season.
Electrician Adrian Cammeleri visited the branch this week to give RSL Members a tutorial on how to run the back up generator.
“The Cardwell RSL is extremely grateful for the generous support given by the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR),” said Cardwell RSL Sub Branch President Robert Lang.
“Without their grant funding this Gen Set compound & electrical connection would not be possible.”
FRRR works with local organisations and community groups to help address regional needs, recognising the importance of locally led projects in building stronger, more resilient communities. Its funding supports a range of initiatives, from community infrastructure to disaster preparedness.
