Reflecting on her win, Victoria said the result was unexpected especially as it was her first American pageant.

“I was over the moon, I  wasn’t expecting anything; when they called the names out I was crying my eyes out. It was also special having Team Aussie cheering me on,” Victoria said.

Her favourite section was ‘National Wear’ where she showcased her love of sewing and embody in a handmade costume celebrating her Australian Heritage. The leotard featured 90,000 gemstones, and the blue satin inside was fitted with lights to resemble the Milky Way, as well as images of Uluru, Soldiers from WW1 and a nod to her home town of Mission Beach with the Cassowary and the Ulysses Butterfly.

“I’m proud to be an Aussie and to be in America wearing our national flag and wearing the things that make us us. I’m the proudest Aussie you’ll meet,” Victoria said.
