Cassowary Coast households have a new incentive to tackle those long-overdue property clean-ups, with free waste disposal vouchers arriving alongside August rate notices.
The new program will provide households with two free vouchers each year, designed to make it easier to clear out unwanted household waste. Each voucher can be used once for an eligible load of dry household waste at any Cassowary Coast Regional Council waste transfer station.
Vouchers are linked to the property they were issued to, are valid until the expiry date shown, and they cannot be used for items including tyres, fridges, freezers, air conditioners, solar panels and asbestos, which attract separate disposal fees.
Publishers Indemnity.
