The Mission Beach Village Green is set to burst into life on Thursday 20th August with the vibrant Business Bazaar event organised by the Cassowary Coast Business Women’s Network, and proudly sponsored by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council.

A festival style atmosphere will be created for this night shopping experience.  There is strong support with almost all the Village Green businesses open for trade or dining.  In addition, there will be an additional 30 plus businesses from across the whole Cassowary Coast each setting up pop-up shops to showcase their products and services.  The evening will create an unforgettable experience as shoppers can get together, eat, drink and hopefully win some prizes along the way.

Visitors can expect a diverse range of businesses associated with health and wellbeing, building services (pool builders, tiling, plumbing), professional services (legal, accounting, training, banking, telecommunications, family care services), marriage celebrant, jewellery makers, gourmet foods, real estates, travel, fashion and accessories, media, flowers and specialist businesses like Paper Lotus and Bingil Bay Distillery and that’s just scratching the surface!

To add to the fun, the Business Bazaar team have organised an interactive Bazaar Bingo concept. The rules are simple:  Visit the businesses listed on your card, collect a minimum of 15 stamps and you’ll be entered into the draw to win $10 vouchers from the food and drink outlets redeemable on the night. 30 draws across 3 timelines -  5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:00pm - and you must be there in person to claim your prize.

The Mission Beach Tavern, have generously donated a grand prize (a hamper filled with all the ‘good stuff’!) - drawn at 8pm. To be in the running head on over and stay for your chance to win. The Tavern will be open late and encourage shoppers and visitors to stop in and close out their celebrations at the Tavern.

As you wander through the Village Green and explore the many businesses taking part, enjoy live music from Alisa Q who will be performing throughout the evening.

The Cassowary Coast Business Women’s Network’s aim with this event is to showcase the broad range of businesses that are here in our Cassowary Coast region – both basic services and specialist businesses – with a message to encourage people to ‘shop local’.

‘This event will increase awareness of the breadth of businesses that we have here in the Cassowary Coast and to highlight that we may not need to travel outside the region for so many products, services and experiences.’ Kerry Clow, President of the CCBWN said

‘We are wrapped with the support and involvement in business across the whole region and would hope that this event will enable them to show what they do best. The Mission Beach Village Green was the perfect spot to hold the Bazaar as it is a central Cassowary Coast location and to showcase the beautifully upgraded shopping precinct.’

The evening is a chance for locals and visitors to get to know the people behind the businesses -  an opportunity to shop, connect and spark a collaboration that could grow into something exciting.
