Students from Cardwell State School, Kennedy State School and Murray River Upper State School came together on Friday for the annual Super Southern School Athletics Day, enjoying a fun-filled day of competition, teamwork and friendship.
Hosted by Kennedy State School, the event provided students with the opportunity to test their skills across a range of athletic events while strengthening connections with their peers from neighbouring schools. Throughout the day, participants displayed excellent sportsmanship, enthusiasm and encouragement, creating a positive atmosphere both on and off the field.
A special thank you was extended to the staff and volunteers who helped organise the event, including Mrs Foley, whose efforts in preparing students and coordinating the day helped ensure everything ran smoothly.
Congratulations to Murray River Upper State School, which claimed overall honours for the carnival.
The Super Southern School Athletics Day continues to be a highlight on the school calendar, bringing together local school communities to celebrate participation, achievement and the joy of sport.
