The longstanding Frank Fraser Lecturette sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hinchinbrook recently brought together six talented primary school students from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary and Ingham State Schools to showcase their public speaking skills and confidence. Three students from each school participated in the competition, presenting their speeches to an audience and a panel of judges.

‍

The judging panel consisted of Ingham State High School Senior Deputy Principal Deb Robinson, Rotary Club of Hinchinbrook President Madeleine D’Urso, and Gilroy Santa Maria Principal Johanna Smith. The judges had the challenging task of assessing the students’ presentations, considering their speaking skills, content, clarity and confidence.

‍

The competition provided an excellent opportunity for students to develop their communication skills and gain valuable experience in public speaking. All six contestants are to be congratulated for their efforts and willingness to participate.

‍

Congratulations to Chris Gunston, who was announced as the winner of the Frank Fraser Lecturette. His achievement is a wonderful recognition of his preparation and presentation skills.
