Independently Owned, Locally Grown, Community Loved
Cardwell's mountain bike project is being driven by the local community, with plans to establish the town as a dedicated riding destination.
It is a very different way to experience the Cardwell Range, taking visitors away from the highway and into the forest on two wheels. The project is also an example of locals actively shaping what tourism in their town could look like rather than waiting for someone else to do it.
The next time you drive through Cardwell, keep an eye on the hills. There is a new adventure taking shape above town. Ride it: cassowarycoasttourism.com.au
