Cardwell Meals On Wheels Elects Leadership Committee

Cardwell Meals on Wheels Inc. held its 45th Annual General Meeting and Dinner at the Cardwell RSL on 16th October.

‍

During the meeting, the committee for 2026/2027 was elected, with all key roles reinstated from the previous year.

Don Porter (President), Allison Chellingworth (Treasurer), Lee Porter (Secretary), Lynn Crawford (Assistant Secretary) and Sue Hart, Katrina O’Brien, Peta Johnson, Carol Palmer, Mandy McGree, Caroline Dyer, and Arlie Robinson (Committee Members).

The annual meeting honours the legacy of the Cardwell Meals on Wheels, paying respect to the past leadership committees of the corporation.

‍

Cardwell Meal on Wheels will continue to support those in need, working together in an already established working dynamic.  

The Annual General Meeting was celebrated with volunteers, clients, guests and kitchen staff from Churches of Christ.  

‍

As the night progressed past the official segment, the evening was filled with events like a quiz competition and spot raffle.  

The food was provided by Terry and Mamiko and was well loved by all of the guests.
