The Cassowary Coast Libraries are gearing up for a festive and creative Christmas school holiday season, with activities designed to entertain and inspire children across all four library branches. Families are invited to enjoy a range of hands-on craft sessions, artistic projects, and even a special Minibeast Wildlife Experience, bringing tiny critters to the hands of young explorers.
In Innisfail, budding crafters can create stained glass ornaments on Wednesday 17 December, before returning in January to make pipe cleaner animals on Thursday 15. The Minibeast Wildlife Experience will visit the library on Wednesday 7 January, offering an up-close encounter with fascinating critters.
Mission Beach Library will host a “Sketch to Shirt” workshop on Tuesday 16 December, followed by stained glass creations on Wednesday 14 January. Its Minibeast session is also on Wednesday 7 January, in the afternoon.
At Tully Library, children can make Christmas ornaments on Thursday 18 December and try rock painting on Thursday 15 January. The Minibeast Wildlife Experience will be held on Thursday 8 January. Cardwell Library rounds out the line-up with Christmas crafts on Wednesday 17 December, jigsaw photo frame activities on Wednesday 14 January, and its own Minibeast session on Thursday 8 January in the afternoon.
These sessions are expected to fill quickly, so families are encouraged to secure their spots early. For bookings and more information, call 1300 366 616 or visit the Cassowary Coast Libraries website.
