Waste to Art returned to this year's Innisfail Show, proving that everyday waste can be transformed into something truly inspiring.
The exhibition celebrated local creativity while encouraging reuse and recycling, with Cassowary Coast Regional Council thanking everyone who entered, visited and supported the event.
Congratulations went to Mourilyan State School, which took out the Primary School category with Magical Mini Beasts, while Kimberley Collins claimed the High School award for Shells Up for Waste Management. A special congratulations also went to Trish Andrews, who received both the Adult/Open award and the coveted People's Choice award.
Council later congratulated all participants for showcasing the creative potential of recycled materials and helping inspire a more sustainable future.
