Students from Tully State High School have been putting their livestock skills into practice at the 2026 Ingham Show’s Cattle Arena, taking on the responsibility of preparing and presenting cattle throughout the 2-day event.

The livestock handling experience gave students the opportunity to develop practical skills while gaining valuable insight required for the show ring.

Throughout the event, the students were responsible for all aspects of cattle presentation and care, including grooming, washing, feeding, watering, cleaning stalls and parading their animals. These hands-on tasks help students build confidence, improve their animal handling techniques and strengthen their understanding of livestock management. With teamwork, responsibility and a strong work ethic, the students ensured their cattle were well cared for and presented to the best of their ability.
