Best Dressed team winners
Last weekend Macknade Bowls Club had their tropical fours carnival which brought in people from all over the region and everyone showed their tropical spirit with only the most vibrantly coloured team shirts.
The Macknade Tropical Mixed Fours was played last weekend with teams travelling from as far as Tully and Giru, along with some of our southern visitors, competing for over $4000 in prizemoney.
Players were treated to our famous food fare over the weekend including a sit-down meal on Friday night and Anna’s Spaghetti on Sunday.
It was great to see so many players dressed in tropical theme with 3 teams specifically vying for the best dressed prize.
After 5 rounds of hard-fought competition Dave Whiting’s team from Townsville took home first prize. Frank Ritchie’s team from Kerang came second and Elsa Piotto’s Ingham team came third.
