A Jingle In July As Community Holds Christmas Celebrations At Forrest Beach

The hall was packed with full tables of merry guests enjoying their Christmas in July

Christmas came to Forest Beach in July, with the community hall transformed for a festive celebration hosted by the Forest Beach Progress Association and Forest Beach CWA.

The annual event, now in its third year, was booked to capacity, welcoming 100 guests for a day of traditional foods, party games and Christmas cheer.

Organisers said the event had grown by 30 guests compared with last year, with bookings filling quickly.

Guests enjoyed dinner, quizzes, pass-the-parcel, lucky spots and a lucky door prize, along with prizes for the best-dressed male and female.

The dress-up theme gave attendees the chance to embrace both tropical and wintery Christmas styles, with the best-dressed prizes awarded by local royalty, the Maraka Queens.

The Forrest Beach Progress Association members and Forrest Beach CWA ladies cooked up a feast and served up the food with impeccable service

The hall was decorated in a festive Christmas theme, organised as a partnership between the Forest Beach Progress Association and Forest Beach CWA, who said the day was about bringing the community together and having fun.

Organisers thanked the community for supporting the event, which has continued to grow since it began three years ago.

Guests enjoyed delightfully decorated tables, great food, and came dressed up in their best Christmas outfits
